“My own childhood was greatly influenced by my experiences at the Dance Studio and I hope to build a community as nurturing and loving as the one I was so lucky to be apart of.”

KatIE Moore

Bachelor of Dance
Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teacher (RAD RTS)

Katie is a passionate dance teacher from Hamilton, New Zealand.

She began Ballet at 3 years old and was soon taking classes in Tap, Contemporary, Jazz and Irish Dancing.

At 18 Katie moved to Auckland to study a Bachelor of Dance at AUT University. Here she studied all forms of dance as well as dance education, nutrition and history. Alongside her degree Katie was also able to complete papers to become a Royal Academy of Dance registered teacher. She also holds a Solo Diploma in Tap dancing from BAL Australasia.

Upon graduating Katie began teaching at a number of dance schools, musical theatre workshops and nurseries across Auckland. Alongside teaching Katie kept up her love of performing. She performed in 'West Side Story', ‘Barnum’, 'Thoroughly Modern Millie’ and ‘Chicago’ with Centrestage Theatre Company.

In early 2015 Katie spent some time teaching dance in Tahiti, French Polynesia. A thoroughly enjoyable experience that only extended Katies love for teaching! Not ready to settle back in NZ she made the move over to London where she has been teaching ever since.

I feel grateful to have the opportunity to teach, nurture and create great and loving relationships with the children. Seeing them grow and learn is the highlight of my week!

Laura, originally from Ipswich, has been dancing since the age of six and has been involved in teaching Baby Ballet from the age of just 13!

Since then she has worked in lots of different areas of dance for big brands such as Disneyland Paris, Walkers and Channel 5. Along her travels, she met Miss Katie in New Zealand where they performed in 'Chicago' together and she is very happy that they both get to teach at The Little Dance Academy together here in London.

Her most recent work includes touring as Assistant Choreographer for Hello Kitty Live: Fashion and Friends in London, Abu Dhabi, Phillipines and Indonesia. She also works as Dance Captain around the country on Pantomines with Evolution Productions and performs in many live shows in London.

Breana Russell

Breana is from America and has always been a creative. She started dance at 3 years old, singing and piano lessons at 10, and did countless live theatre performances growing up.

Although she did several live theatre productions her heart has always been in the dance studio. She did competitive dance for 12 years focusing on ballet, tap, hip hop, modern, musical theatre, and jazz. This is where she began helping her dance teachers with the younger groups of kids.

Later she began doing visual arts and ended up getting an undergraduate degree in design. She is now studying for her Masters Degree at the number 1 art and design school in the world, Royal College of Art in London.

Throughout her creative career, and personal life, she has found herself in jobs surrounding children and has grown a passion for working with them. She is so excited to be able to share her passion for dance and creativity with other people.

Miss Breana teaches our East London classes and assists Pre Primary Ballet and Junior Hip Hop on Saturdays.

Madeleine Bantick

Madeleine grew up in Suffolk where she attended the local dance school everyday after school. When she was 14 she realised that she wanted to have a career in dance and at 16 moved to Birmingham to commence vocational training at Elmhurst School for Dance.

She attended the school for three years completing her A-levels and level 6 national diploma.

I love working with children and seeing them improve week after week. Sharing my passion and seeing it grow in others is one of the most rewarding things!

After graduating Madeleine joined the Northern Ballet Graduate programme where she gained experience dancing with the professional company. Unfortunately during this time Madeleine became very badly injured and had to have an operation causing her to take a break from dancing. This was when she started teaching ballet.

After recovery Madeleine joined Vienna Festival Ballet company and whilst working completed a BA Hons in professional practice in the arts.

Miss Madeleine assists our Saturday morning Baby Ballet and Baby Hip Hop classes at Cuckoo Hibou.
