LDA Camp Terms and Conditions

These camp terms incorporate our standard Terms and Conditions and will together form our contract with you when you sign up to one of our dance camps (Camps). In the event that there is any conflict between these camp terms and our standard Terms and Conditions, these camp terms shall have priority.

Where to find information about us and our services

You can find everything you need to know about us, the Little Dance Academy, and our services on our website before you make a booking.

No Refunds

Payments for our dance camps need to be made in full in advance at the time of the booking. Any payments made are non-refundable and bookings once made cannot be cancelled.

There are no discounts for existing members.

Cancellation rights

Your cancellation rights in our Standard Terms and Conditions do not apply to our dance camps and dance camps are not subject to any statutory rights to cancel. Once your booking has been made it is non-refundable and it is your responsibility to check the dates and times before submitting an order.

Force Majeure

Except where otherwise expressly stated in these booking conditions, we regret we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our obligations under our contract with you is prevented or affected by – or you otherwise suffer any damage, loss or expense of any nature as a result of – “force majeure”.  A force majeure includes any cause beyond our reasonable control including strikes, lock-outs, labour disputes, shortages of personnel, act of God, war, riot, civil commotion, terrorism, malicious damage, threats to safety, compliance with any law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction, accident, environmental contamination, pandemic outbreak of disease, breakdown of plant or machinery, fire, flood, storm, difficulty or increased expense in obtaining workmen, materials, goods or raw materials in connection with the performance of this agreement.

We can change services and these terms

Changes we can always make. We can always change a service:

  • to reflect changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements; and

  • to make minor adjustments and improvements. These are changes that don't affect your use of the service.

Changes we can only make if we give you notice and an option to terminate. We can also make the following types of change to the service or these terms, but if we do so we'll notify you and you can then contact us by email on hello@thelittledanceacademy.com to end the contract before the change takes effect and receive a refund for any services you've paid for in advance, but not received:

  • Camp dates

  • Camp locations (excluding location within a 1 mile radius). Any such change will be of an equivalent nature and standard to the dance camp you originally booked.

We can withdraw services

Whilst we always endeavour to avoid changes and cancellations, we reserve the right to do so.. We let you know at least two weeks in advance and we refund any sums you've paid in advance for services which won't be provided.  We may as an alternative be able to accommodate you on an equivalent dance camp if there is availability.

We don't compensate you for all losses caused by us or our services

We're responsible for losses you suffer that we cause unless the loss is:

  • Unexpected. It was not obvious that it would happen and nothing you said to us before we accepted your order meant we should have expected it (so, in the law, the loss was unforeseeable).

  • Caused by a delaying event outside our control.

  • Avoidable. Something you could have avoided by taking reasonable action, including following our reasonable instructions for use.

Personal Property

We accept no liability for loss or damage to valuables, baggage or personal property including dance kits and attire unless such loss or damage is proven to be due to our negligence or that of our employees or agents.

You must name all personal possessions brought to our dance camps and must ensure your children take all appropriate measures for the protection and security of any valuables, baggage or other personal possessions. Expensive and treasured items should not be brought to our dance camps as these are unnecessary and not required.

Medical Disclaimer and Health and Safety

It is your responsibility to inform us at the time of booking or, where relevant, as soon as you become aware, of any actual or anticipated injuries, disabilities, medical, social or behavioural problems or circumstances affecting your child attending one of our dance camps. We cannot be held reasonable for any loss or damage caused by your failure to keep us informed of any relevant health or medical information. Please ensure that any medications (including epi pens and inhalers) are brought to the camp each day and staff are made aware of the situation.

Any health information we hold will be treated sensitively and in line with our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to refuse entry to our camp or exclude any child and/or cancel the booking and future bookings for any child at any time if we reasonably believe that important information affecting the health and safety of the child, our staff or other children has not been provided to us.

In an instance where a child is seen by our first aiders and has been deemed to be well, if a parent then requests the child to be taken to a doctors’ surgery or hospital a parent/guardian will need to come and collect the child.

You and your child shall at all times take such precautions as shall be necessary and/or as may be reasonably required by us to prevent or restrict the spread of infectious or contagious diseases such as  chicken pox, gastro enteritis or other similar conditions.

Your Responsibilities

Participation in dance activities requires children involves physical activity.  Where a child has a condition or injury which limits their ability to participate, please contact us in advance so that we can discuss what adjustments can be made and whether your child will be able to join in.

Children will be required to ensure that their behaviour is compatible with the orderly conduct of dance activities and that minimal disturbance to other individuals is caused. Children are required at all times to follow the verbal and/or written instructions of our staff. We reserve the right to cancel any booking or exclude any child at any time, if in our reasonable opinion the behaviour of that child is or may be disruptive, dangerous, inappropriate or incompatible with the general enjoyment of others.

Children are required to be fully toilet trained and out of nappies prior to attending one of our camps. We reserve the right to exclude a child if during their time at camp in our opinion this is not the case based on multiple toilet accidents during their time on camp.

You must arrange for your child to be collected as soon as reasonably possible from when we contact you for this purpose and if we cannot contact you we will contact your emergency contact detailed in your booking. Any additional costs so incurred shall be entirely your responsibility and you shall reimburse any costs reasonably incurred by us in connection with the exclusion of your child.

Refreshments

Please ensure that all children attending camps bring a snack and water with them. There are no catering facilities on site.  All snacks must be nut and sesame free.

Children attending our dance camps can wear anything they can comfortably move in. Dance kit and dress ups are welcome but not compulsory.
