The Little Dance Academy's classes aim to inspire, capture the imagination and build confidence all while fostering a love of dance.
With a wide range of classes to choose from including ‘Parent & Me’ for the littlest dancers, to magical ballet, funky bop, tap and drama, there is a class for everyone.
At the Little Dance Academy we understand the importance of nurturing and encouraging little people to help them succeed.
So, what can you expect from our classes? A warm welcome on arrival, even if you are a bit late. We understand getting little people out the door and to class on time can be stressful, especially if they are determined to put their shoes on "all by myself" or are having a "no" day and are refusing to get in their buggy!
You finally arrive at class and all your little one wants to do is pick up the carefully placed spots the teacher has put out or run from one side of the hall to the other as they think "wow, look at all this space!" Our team will gently encourage them to join in with the rest of the class, while admiring (and probably having a little giggle) at their fun spirit.
For some children attending a class with lots of other children in a big room can feel quite overwhelming. Even if your little one has been jumping and twirling around at home for weeks, coming to an actual class can turn even the most confident and animated kids into shy, calm children who you as a parent might not recognise.
It might take a few weeks until they are following the correct instructions and joining in but with patience, repetition and encouragement they will get there.
It might not look like it from the outside when they are just sitting staring but they are absorbing the class and involved in their own way - and don't be surprised if they give you a full performance once you’re back at home!
We understand getting some little ones to come out of their shell can take time, and that's fine - we are here to guide and support every dancing step of the way.
